Dear recruiters at identifeye HEALTH,
ciao
My name is Emelie Coello, I am a first-year electrical engineering student at The City College of New York. I was searching for an internship related to my major on LinkedIn and found your electrical engineering internship in Guilford, CT. Your company is respectable and its values align with mine. I believe I am a strong candidate for this position because of my qualities, practical experience, and skills.
Science classes engaged me the most throughout school because of my strong curiosity about how things function. I only knew which science I would pursue because of my experience at Queens Technical High School where I majored in pre-engineering electronics technology from eleventh grade to twelfth grade. I enjoyed getting to learn a lot about electricity and being able to do hands-on work as well. Seeing the inside of electronic devices fascinates me. I have taken apart a bunch of old electronics because I wanted to see what their circuits look like.
Ever since the introduction to computer science class I took in ninth grade, I have been familiar with the concept of circuits, reading schematics, using Ohm’s Law, and building circuits on a breadboard. My understanding of electricity and circuits deepened while I was a pre-engineering student. I built circuits on trainers as well, did labs, and had to do a lot of circuit analysis. I used Ohm’s Law, Watt’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Current Law, Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law, and Thevenin’s Theorem often. I can work with DC or AC and series, parallel, or series-parallel circuits. The tools I often used in class were the digital multimeter and the digital oscilloscope. I am also familiar with the analog oscilloscope. I have terminated both copper and fiber optic cables, punched down copper cables, and I am trained in OSHA. In addition, I have soldered copper splices and built circuits on PCBs and soldered their components.
You can refer to my resume to see the specific certifications I have earned at Queens Technical High School. I am open to going more in depth about my experience there and answering any questions you may have during an interview. You can reach me at [email protected] or 347-639-2934. I look forward to your response.
shalom
Sincerely,
yo
Emelie Coello
